Bishop Anita W. Kelley

Bishop Anita W. Kelley, a native of Saint Louis, Missouri, is the founder of Way Of Life Church and Way Of Life Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri.

She regularly attended and was an actively involved member of Washington Tabernacle Church, under the leadership of Dr. John Edward Nance. At eight years of age, Bishop Kelley committed her life to Christ, was water baptized and later Holy Spirit baptized.

In 1975, Bishop Kelley became the leader of the Young Adult, International Gospel Party, Boosting Jesus Groups, Incorporated, which was headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. In faithful service to this appointment, the group rapidly increased and necessitated a more expanded ministry. Therefore, after a forty-day fast, receiving clear direction from the Lord, much counsel from her pastor, and other ministers of the gospel, Bishop Kelley was sent forth from her church to fulfill the work of the Lord. As many responded to the proclamation of the gospel, Way of Life Church was established in 1980.

As an ordained minister of the gospel, Bishop Kelley has faithfully served in full-time ministry more than forty years. Apostolic in calling, she ministers to the Body of Christ and the lost. She has served as instructor and adjunct supervisor of International Seminary, ordained and set young men and women in ministry, established several ministries, ministered to the Mayan Indians (Yucatan Peninsula), conducted seminars, Christian productions, retreats, community services, wherein many received Christ, were healed, delivered, and baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Committed to the exaltation of our Lord Jesus Christ, the salvation of the lost, and the strengthening of the Body of Christ, Bishop Kelley has and continues ministry through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God to develop wholly committed Christians, through the truth of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit that they may go forth to impact this world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
