Servants in Pastoral Ministry
Because of our love for you and your family, and as it is the vision of this church to develop wholly committed Christians, to impact this world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, we look forward to your establishment and growth in the Lord, that you too may serve Him.
To aid in the accomplishment of our vision, we have incorporated, “The Deacon Family Ministry Plan” wherein each member is assigned to a Deacon. The Deacon Family Ministry Plan is a ministry through which the deacons can join with our Bishop and Elders in ministering to each church member and family.
However, the effectiveness of this ministry can only be accomplished with your help. Therefore, we have listed some specific ways your deacon can minister unto you.
Through Visits
The initial visit to your home will be a get-acquainted visit with you and your family, but your deacon will also make other visits, throughout the year, when you are sick or shut-in at home, hospitalized or experiencing sorrow.
Witnessing to Unsaved Family Members
Committed to the commission of our Lord, our chief concern is that every member of your family know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Rejoicing with You and Your Family
Your deacon will share your joy when you celebrate important events or accomplishments in your life.
Giving Support in Times of Crisis
Your deacon can help you through the crisis by listening and giving support.
Answering Questions
Answering questions about your faith or about your church. Your deacon will try to find the answers for you.
Helping You Know and Have Fellowship with Other Members and Families in the Church
Your deacon will encourage you to participate in fellowship with the members of the church.
Helping You Find Ways to Serve In and Through the Church
Your deacon will assist you in serving the Lord through the gifts, talents, skill and abilities He has given you.
Praying for You and with You
Believing that you are important and believing in the power of prayer, your deacon will join with Bishop Kelley, the Elders and other Deacons in praying for you and each member of your family.
